Frequently Asked Questions
PASS is a football organization with the community at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on providing high quality coaching and developing your child to the best of his/her ability in a caring and fun environment. We have a strong emphasis on multi skills to ensure we develop the ‘whole’ athlete. This will help make better footballers as well as develop skills for other sports.

Our fees are 750aed for all ages for the 11 week program. There are discounts for siblings or paying for all three modules. Please enquire within.
We run through the year with three modules lasting 11 weeks each. The modules are designed to be progressive through the year with the intention of developing each player’s skills each module.

We are very keen on having small player to coach ratios to ensure quality sessions. As a benchmark, we try to have a ratio of 1 coach to 8 players in the 3 and 4 year groups and one coach to 14 (max 16) in the older groups. We usually have more coaches per each group but this is the lowest benchmark we try to stick to.

Yes training is for both girls and boys. From September 2016, we will also have a girls’ only academy so you can choose to either enrol your player in the mixed or girls’ only sessions.

We will provide your child with a t-shirt to wear. You provide sports shorts and sport shoes. We play on artificial turf so trainers/sneakers are fine. Metal studs are not allowed.

We run our main sessions at The British School Al Khubeirat (BSAK) in Mushriff and Yas Kicks on Yas Island. We try to ensure that the players are playing in shade or indoors – however this is facility dependent. We also hold sessions at ‘The Club’ and Little Smarties nursery amongst others.

All players are registered in our ‘dressing room’. We start the session with a warm up, usually based on agility, balance, coordination or speed, then the main content and a small sided game or fun game at the end. At the end of each session, at least one player from each group will be awarded the title of ‘PASS Master’ to commend them for their effort, showing respect or showing enthusiasm during the session. At the end of the 11 week module, one player per group will be awarded the title of PASS Player of the Module to highlight the fact that they have consistently displayed the aforementioned behaviours.

Ideally, we close registrations after the first week to ensure a stable group for the rest of the course. However, we understand that there may be other circumstances so each case is dealt with individually.

This is fine as long as there is space in your preferred session/time.

We have strict group sizes so this depends on whether there are available spaces in any other sessions. Please ensure you request any changes from your player’s head coach or director (Seth) prior. Please do not just turn up at a different session expecting to play as you may be left disappointed.

Each recreational session lasts one hour. Team training lasts more – individual coaches will organize this with their teams.

You are welcome to receive a refund but only before the commencement of the second session.

Child protection is very important to us at PASS so we encourage parents to stay and watch sessions. However if you do need to pop off please ensure you tell your child’s coach before you leave. All parents who do leave need to be back 10mins before the session ends so you can sign you child back out.

There is option for your child to train up to 3 times a week in the recreational programme if your child wants to.

We are very fortunate that our some of our coaches speak both Arabic and English. And between all the coaches we also speak Romanian, Dutch and even Ghanaian!

We run football birthday parties and football tournaments. We have also organized many events for organisations such as FIFA, Abu Dhabi Week and Daman Health. Additionally, we are keen to get involved in charity/community initiatives; we are proud partners with GOALS UAE, providing football training for young autistic children. Please email Coach Seth at [email protected] for more information.

Congratulations! Your player will receive extra training, a minimum of two days a week and regular competitive matches.

We have a tiered system at PASS with pathways for everyone to achieve. Those that are keen to play football with no pressure can participate in our recreational programs. Those looking for a little more competition can try out for the teams in the u6 to u12 categories. We will look to have the players with the most ability in our elite team, and any others who are close but need a little extra training in our Development Squads. The idea is for a pathway program where players in the Development Squad still have the opportunity to join the Elite Squad at a later stage and Elite players can move to the Development Squad depending on their progress.

All our coaches are qualified and we have regular development sessions to ensure our ideas are fresh. We have coaches who have and still work with International clubs like Man U, Chelsea, Al Whada and Al Jazira as well as coaches who have played at an International level.

We are fortunate enough to have water provided to us by Dr Firas Dental and Orthodontic, however we would encourage all players to bring their own water at all times.

Please contact Coach Seth on the contact details provided with any questions you might have. We always like to hear from our parents, or players!

We have various programs at various locations all over Abu Dhabi. You are more than welcome to register for as many of those as you’d like.
